A death certificate with cause of death is confidential for 50 years. Only specific individuals can get this version. The list includes a surviving spouse, parent, adult child or grandchild, adult sibling, or a person with a documented estate interest (like a named beneficiary in a will or insurance policy). Flagler County Death Record Fees

The Flagler County DOH office charges $5 for the first certified copy of a death certificate. Each additional copy is $4 when ordered together. These fees apply to in-person and mail orders.

Through the state Bureau of Vital Statistics in Jacksonville, the cost is also $5 for a search and one copy, plus $4 for extras. If the year of death is unknown, they charge $2 per year searched, up to $50. Pre-2009 records may carry a $10 rush fee, and there is a $1 shipping charge per order.
